Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your Brooklyn Blak pieces — the feel, the fit, and how they make you feel wearing them. We also believe clarity is key, so please read the following carefully before making a purchase.

Full-Priced Items

If you have purchased a full-priced item, you may request a Store credit or Exchange within:

  • 7 days of receiving your order (New Zealand customers)

  • 14 days of receiving your order (Australian customers)

Please note: Brooklyn Blak does not offer refunds for change of mind, fit, or personal preference, including purchases made using Afterpay or other buy-now-pay-later services.

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unworn and unwashed

  • In original condition

  • With all tags attached

  • Returned in original packaging

Once your return is approved, you may choose either a store credit or an exchange (subject to availability).

Important Fit & Appearance Information

Fit, size, cut, drape, and overall appearance on the body are subjective and can vary from person to person. Differences in how a garment fits or appears when worn do not constitute a fault, misrepresentation, or failure to meet the product description.


Return Shipping

  • Return courier costs are the responsibility of the customer

  • For approved exchanges, Brooklyn Blak will cover the cost of shipping the replacement item back to you


Faulty Items

We take great care to ensure every piece meets our quality standards.

If you believe your item is faulty, please email info.brooklynblak@gmail.com within 7 days of receiving your order, including:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photographs of the fault

We will assess the item and work with you to resolve the issue promptly in line with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.

Please note: Faults do not include differences in fit, feel, colour tone, or appearance where the item matches the product description, imagery, and sizing information provided.


Sale & Promotional Purchases

Please choose carefully when shopping our Black Friday, Birthday Sale, or any promotional events.

All sale and promotional items are final sale.
We are unable to offer returns, exchanges on these items.

If you are unsure about sizing or fit, we encourage you to contact us before purchasing — we are always happy to help.


International Orders

International orders, including those shipped to Australia, are subject to the Brooklyn Blak Returns & Exchanges Policy. While we comply with New Zealand consumer law, international customers are responsible for ensuring items meet their needs prior to purchase.


How to Return an Item

  1. Email info.brooklynblak@gmail.com with your order number and reason for return

  2. Complete and print the Returns Form located at the top of this page

  3. Include the completed form with your return parcel

Once received and inspected, your store credit or exchange will be processed.

When Will I Receive My Store Credit?

Approved store credits are emailed with 24 hours of receiving your return 
You will receive a confirmation email once your credit has been issued.

If you have not received your store credit or confirmation email within 5 working days of us receiving your return, please contact info.brooklynblak@gmail.com.
